The new Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) is an international standardized exam which organised by Hanban to test and rate Chinese language proficiency of non-native Chinese speakers across the world. Full-time studying international students of our university are required to reach a certain HSK level before they apply for a bachelor degree or an internship position in China, and the certain HSK level has been regulated by “Regulations of Awarding Bachelor’s Degree to International Students at Nanjing Medical University” and “Regulations on Internship and Extension of Graduation for International Students of Nanjing Medical University”.

Chinese Training Centre of Nanjing Medical University is the first university HSK examination centre in Nanjing. In order to improve Chinese proficiency of foreign students, strengthen construction of examination centres and enhance qualities of Chinese teaching for international students, SIE College Affairs Council has reached a decision that all the full-time studying international students’ HSK certificates must be awarded by Chinese Training Centre of Nanjing Medical University before they apply for a bachelor degree or an internship position in China. HSK Certificates from other test centres will not be admitted by Nanjing Medical University.

This regulation will come to effect from 1st January, 2016 and HSK results which are obtained before that day can still be regarded as effective. (Including candidates who attend HSK in December, 2015)
